Preparation

Mix the poppy seeds, cinnamon, honey, vanilla and raisins in a bowl with 2 tablespoons of water. Spread the poppy seed mixture on top and turn it into a firm roll. Let it set in the refrigerator for at least two hours. The poppy seed butter is a traditional specialty from Carinthia.

Tip: The poppy seed butter goes particularly well with the Carinthian Reindling or the Easter brioche and should not be missing from any typical Carinthian Easter snack.
