INGREDIENTS FOR 8 Servings
To prepare:
- 8 disposable plastic cups
- 8 cake pop sticks or wooden teaspoons
Ingredients for hot chocolate on a stick:
- 150 g liquid dark couverture chocolate (30 °C)
- 100 g liquid white couverture chocolate (28 °C)
- A pinch of gingerbread spice or cinnamon
Ingredients for 1 cup of hot STROHcolate:
- 250 ml milk
- 1 Serving of Hot Chocolate on a Stick
- 1 tbsp STROH 80 or 2 tbsp STROH 60
- Sugar sprinkles (e.g. Dr. Oetker Glamour Mix)
PREPARATION
Hot chocolate on a stick:
- Stir each couverture chocolate with the spice and divide evenly into the plastic cups.
- Insert sticks or spoons into the filled cups and let the chocolate set.
- For a light-and-dark version, pour the chocolates in alternating layers, letting each layer firm up slightly before adding the next.
- Once set, remove the drinking chocolates from the plastic cups.
- Optional: Wrap them lovingly in cellophane and tie with a ribbon for gifting.
1 cup of hot STROHcolate:
- Stir the milk together with STROH 80 or STROH 60 and heat gently.
- Once the milk is hot, remove the pot from the heat.
- Place the drinking chocolate into a mug and pour the hot milk over it.
- Let it sit for about 3 minutes, until the drinking chocolate has fully melted.
- Stir well before serving.
- Top with whipped cream and colorful sugar decorations.
