The Eckes AG decides to dispose of all its interests in the spirits segment, choosing to concentrate on its core fruit juice business (e.g. Granini). The new owner "Oaktree Capital Management" forms the Stock Spirits Group Limited and acquires Stock Austria GmbH. |
| 2008 |
On August 13th the long-time CEO of Stock Austria GmbH, Harold Burstein, acquires a 100% interest in the company under a management buyout. New sole proprietor Burstein acquired the company complete with a portfolio of successful spirits including STROH, Mautner, Bouchet and Charly's together with the entire STROH production facility in Klagenfurt from its British owners, Stock Spirits Group Ltd. |

Since spring STROH can be called "Inländer Rum" again! Based on a new EC law the term "Inländer Rum" is trademarked as Austrian specialty produced to 100% in Austria. The rum is refined with the best essences and aromas ("bonificateurs") based on the Austrian tradition and of course following the secret recipe of STROH.
